Items :

  • Introduction of the new legendary gifts:
    • Flowers (Legendary) 700 affection points for 291,000
    • Chocolates (Legendary) 950 affection point for 396,150
    • Bracelet (Legendary)  1200 affection points for 500,400
    • Lingerie (Legendary) 1500 affection points for 625,500
  • Some affection items changed as the following :
    • Chocolates (Epic) : 170 for 70,892 to 250 for 104,250
    • Bracelet (Epic) : 230 for 95,913 to 370 for 154,290
    • Lingerie (Epic) : 300 for 125,103  to 490 for 204,330

Missions :

  • The daily missions will now have gifts as rewards.
  • The daily missions will have between 2 and 4 missions rewarding with items, between 2 and 4 missions with gifts and the rest will have money reward.

PVP :

  • The Battles will have now a chance to reward you with gifts after the combat.
  • In total, you will have 25% of chance on average to get an affection item per battle.

  • The Market refresh will have a cooldown of 8 hours instead of 12.
  • The cost in kobans to refresh the shop changed from 66/11 to 42/7
  • Legendary Items will be available in the market.
  • The number of girls that you own in your Harem will now influence the quality of gifts within the market :
    • The Common items won’t be available anymore if you have at least 20 girls.
    • The Rare items won’t be available anymore if you have at least 40 girls.
    • The Epic items will have a chance to appear when you have at least 8.
    • The Legendary items will have a chance to appear when you have at least 20.

A lof of affection will come !

Hello everyone !

 

It has been now a few weeks since we released the new version of the game and we are reading a lot of your feedback and discussions about it. We even had a player coming to an event in Amsterdam to greet us and brought some insights.

 

Before anything, we wanted to thank you all for the interests you have in our game, it is really amazing for us to create a game with such a passionate playerbase. Regarding the main subject of these feedbacks, the affection, we are aware that the situation is not perfect and we are watching very carefully all the consequences of all the changes that we provided.

 

Yet, we would like to share with you the direction that we want to go to improve our current system.

 

We desire to improve the acquisition of the gifts to give to girls. We understand that with our new system, the acquisition of these items is a bit too sparse and we aim at improving this.

The first step will be to increase the quality of the items within the market. As your evolving within the game and as your harem grows bigger, the market will begin to propose you better affection items to follow your needs. The epic items will begin to appear next to common and rare items in the Market. And after a certain moment, the common affection items will just stop to appear within the shop whenever it is restocked.

To go next to that, the restock of the market will happen every 8 hours instead of the current 12. That way, we are giving another restock per day without forcing you to be constantly connected to avoid missing one. Also, the price of the restock of the market will go lower to follow the change in the restock’s timer.

 

Also, we desire to reward the player while playing the game, consequently, we decided to distribute more gifts in nearly all the different features of the game.

The daily mission will give you a few gifts from different quality each day. If you decide to go fight other players, you will be able to receive some gifts as rewards. Within the Great Pachinko, the chance of obtaining gifts will be doubled.

Also, as a follow-up of the equipment, we will soon introduce the Legendary gifts. Stronger items that fill your girls with love.

 

We do not desire to rush any changes to avoid any major updates regarding the balance of the game within months. This explains why we are not as swift as you are all hoping us to be, yet we can assure you that we are taking the subject very seriously and we will keep you updated with a date for all these changes within a close future.

Re-balance Patch Note

Thank you for your patience, some changes have been made right before the release, this is the reason the patch note has been released before now.

 

LEVELS:

  • Maximum level moved from 40 to 400;
  • To reflect this massive change in, the level up refills every level from level 1 to 10 and then every 10 levels (so, 20, 30, 40, etc.).
  • The maximum energy is now of 100 and the maximum combativity is now 20.
  • You gain experience by adventuring, completing missions and fighting in PvP;
  • You no longer gain experience from fighting trolls;

GIRLS:

  • Specific Girls can now have 4 and 5 stars of affection. So far, only Bunny and Juliette are concerned. Yet the artistic team will provide gradually grades for the others girls, with the objective to have all the girls with a grade 5.
  • The girl’s incomes have been tweaked:
  • Bunny’s income changed from 1300/h to  3600/h at grade 3
  • Juliette’s income changed from 1300/h  to 2650/h at grade 3.
  • Red Battler’s income changed from 1300/h  to 2300/h at grade 3.
  • Ankyo’s income changed from 1170/h  to 2300/h at grade 3.
  • Princess Agate’s income changed from 1560/h  to 2000/h at grade 3
  • All the other girls have seen their income move to 1270/h at grade 3 from an average of 1180/h.
  • Girls drop system has been tweaked. Since the moment the update has been released, you shouldn’t be in a situation in which you farm NPC for longer than a month without drop.
  • The amount of affection needed to upgrade a girl has been reworked. Now the system is based on your number of girls and the acquisition’s order. Thus, the last girl you obtained will need much more affection than the previous one.
  • It is the same for the affection quest after you fully satisfied the girl.
  • To reflect the level cap increased, the amount of experience needed to level up girls has been reworked.

ITEMS:

  • Items now have a level. The level of the item is determined and fixed by your level when you acquired the item. The higher the level of an item, the more powerful he can be;
  • There is a new tier for equipment: Legendary (purple);
  • Legendary items can be obtained in Pachinko, Epic Pachinko, Market and Missions
  • Market refills every time you level up with new items fitting your new level;
  • The cost of Great Pachinko is now based on the power of the items within it;
  • Doing 10 pachinko roll in once is not discounted by 3% of the total prices.
  • Selling back items is now based on ⅙ of the price;
  • Boosters cost koban now if you buy them in Market and be acquired by fighting within the arena;
  • Some pieces of equipment within the market are randomly assigned a koban price;
  • The affection items changed as the following :

  • Once you complete all the daily mission for a day, you get offered 150 Kobans / 25 Kobans ;

TROLLS:

  • Once you collected enough quest items to progress in the adventure, troll shouldn’t drop them anymore;
  • The potential rewards given by a troll are now displayed in the bottom left area of their fighting page.
  • The chance of drops the quest items has been increased.

STATS:

  • The raising stats has been reworked to take into account the change within the increase of level cap.

ADVENTURES :

  • The new players experiences has been reworked. Now a player that begins the game will have 100.000 in game mony.
  • The cost in energy has also been reworked, now you are assured to arrive to the world 2 within your first playthrough.

Game Design Talk : The Girls and their affection

Hello everyone !

 

A bit more than an year ago, we released Harem Heroes with the help of Nutaku. We believed in the game and we have done our best to make it cool from day one. Few months after release, we introduced to you the events, each month creating exclusive themes for you to enjoy. In April, we released the contests, inviting you to compete with each other and win awesome rewards.

When we started, we had 3 worlds and less than 20 girls, we worked hard and continuously to bring more and more fun, sexy art and cool parody of your favorite universes. We are now at the dawn of the release of world 9 and there is more than 75 girls to meet and love within the Haremverse. Next to that, we launched our official forums and even an alternate version of our game, Gay Harem. Now after traveling a long way we decided to bring some cool and exciting changes in the way the game works.

 

Without a doubt most important and exciting change is, of course, the girls having new grades. We know that our girls and their sexy temper are the driving force of the game, you like them and you want them. We desired to increase the investment you are putting in the girls and augment the value of your current harem. Two more affections grades would be really enjoyable for everyone while enforcing the attachement to your current girls. Since there is quite numerous of women available for your harem and that we desire to provide the highest quality regarding our artworks, we are beginning with 2 of the first girls within the game, Bunny and Juliet. More will come regularly as we aim that no girl is left behind in matter of affection. 😉

To keep the subject on the affection that you give to your girls, we also made some changes on how the harem’s upgrade work. At release, the affection costs all the same for every girls, whenever you acquire them and whatever how many girls are in your harem. It is creating a situation in which the first girls that you are owning are quite hard to satisfy while it becomes quickly totally trivial to ensure that a new comer to your harem is totally maxed out. We consider that it doesn’t honor girls within you harem and also diminish your own experience within the game. That is the reason why we decided to the affection requirement for each grade scaled to the amount of girls you already own. That way, the beginning of the game would feel more welcoming to the new players while offering a more valuable experience later.

 

We also want to introduce some changes within the way you can own the bigger harem in the universe. Actually, players are discovering quite late that battling with the troll is a nice and free way to convince girls to join your harem. To address that we made a cool display to let you know exactly what to expect out of fighting trolls. While doing this, we also modified the chance to obtain the girls to make more accessible without making it too easy, while avoiding situation in which players can play the game for more than a month without seeing any new girl.

 

We hope this is making more our objectives regarding the future content more clear and that you are as excited than us to discover more about these changes.

As most of you know we are ones that like challenges!

A few months back, we started a campaign called ‘’Gay Harem’’ and we never thought we could raise money for it. Actually, we did! The interest in Gay Harem was so big, that we actually started working on it.
A few months later… The game is released! 🙂 Yes, that’s true!

Now, what do you need to know about it?

  • We added the unfinished rebalance version so that we can gather even more tests and keep your own investments safe!

Week 24 : 12th to 16th of June ( Work Report )

What did we do this week? Thanks to our dear Patreons we could afford to work more on the re-balance project this week. And this is our intention for next weeks. We will have a game designer to join our team any day now, which is big news for us.
We decided to start and prepare this for him:

  • Rebalance Talks: Items creation. The decision to generate the variation of stats and associate the skins randomly after.
  • The items will be associated with your levels.
  • The first introduction of the idea of a “crafting system” to level up the items.
  • Legendary Items: Decision to implement them at the same time than rebalancing. These items will be more powerful and be the only ones that can be generated with 3 stats.
    We approaching the idea that the Legendaries will be purchasable with a few kobans.
  • Rebalance will be first on the test server, available to quite a few players (the patreon will be invited first, of course).
  • Creation of a benchmark about the Starter’s pack in the industry
  • Began to write the specificity for the starter pack

Game Rebalance (Dev talk)

Why do we want a rebalance?

As the development post release of the game progressed, our data showed that our current economy and evolution system (like the levelling system) would need a rework and rebalance if we wanted to introduce a new feature. For example, we didn’t want to introduce a new feature which would be too expensive for newcomers in the game and yet, would still be challenging for the veteran players which are hoarding millions. The idea behind the rebalance project is, in conclusion, to create a cleaner and more balanced framework to be able to create funny content for everyone to enjoy, from small things like a new level cap to the more bigger feature like clans/guilds.
We desire also to create engagement in every game modules/features. To do so, we need to rework the reward given by all the features and also the requirement to use these features to create a more synergistic approach that the one we currently have.

Level rebalance

As a lot of players asked for it and as we understand its necessity for our veteran players, we want to increase the number of levels currently available in the game. Yet to be sure that we won’t fall into the same current situation with quite a few players waiting for us to raise the level cap, we need to create a system that would allow us more freedom in that regard.

The basic idea for our new system is to know how long it will take to a player to get to the level max, on average, to be able to plan more content related to this when the average mass of players approaches the limit. Yet, our goal was also to create a system where you can feel that you are progressing within it, that you are not feeling stuck for days on some levels with repetitive tasks to do just to get a level.

Also, with our rework, we will change from a system where each level is calculated by hands to one system in which everything related to levelling is calculated by an algorithm. That way, the sky is the only limit, we can create 100 or 200 levels more!

 

Itemization and revenues:

Related to this new level system, we would like to introduce more items in the whole game and also intensifies the feeling of progression with your gear. That is the reason that we will link the itemisation to the level system that we talked about earlier. The goal is to make you discover new items as your progress and to give your more choice in the equipment you can wear on your character (and even perhaps introduce a new tier of items …). These changes are also needed as a first step to improve the PvP system and introduce some contents around this specific feature.

To make sure that these news items don’t become mundane too easily, we needed to rework the overall economy of the game. You don’t want to feel that these items are worth nothing if you have millions on your account. If we want to be sure the expenses are interesting, we needed to also rework the revenue. It means we want to split a bit more equally the way you, players, are getting your in-game money between all the current features of the game.

In conclusion

As told before, the goal for the rebalance is to make sure the whole game is under control to be sure that we can develop the features we want and that will interest you. It is a lot of numbers crunching and analysis from our end it is quite hard for us to be sure that you didn’t fall asleep while reading this. Still, we can assure you that it is an important step as we want to bring Hentai Heroes forward and that the first year milestone that approaches is just the first of many to come.
